Netflix on Vine - Digital Twins
This opportunity arrived during my time with the Gensler DXD team. We created this tool in late 2021, when the IRL building was nearing completion but teams were still dispersed and not able to fully test content together. The Tudum Theater & Main Lobby content will shift in accordance with the needs of the space, brand, and in-person happenings and this visualizer allows for content partners, animators, and vendors to validate what they want to play on screen. It’s built using a web-optimized Revit model, pulled into Unity, and layered with WebGL for the interactions.
This tool is a first of its kind within Gensler and it was my role to create these first iterations using client-provided budgets, steward and share the benefits of the tool with internal teams and stakeholders, guide clients through new decisions, and lay a foundation for a more automated Revit to Unity/Unreal pipeline. The pressure to do that from the ground up and balance client deliverables was a fun challenge for the team.

Tudum Theater
Key Features include:
As-built model of the building, window seaming, and LED product placement behind the glass
Adjustable time of day
Pivoting between fixed POVs
Screen recording
Pulling from a CMS of Netflix content
Accurate sun placement to check window glare at different times of day
Tudum Demo Video
This quick video shows the environmental shifts this tool offers to speed up pre-flight testing while considering elements like the sun’s reflection, seams of the glass, and angle of the viewer.
As this is an internal tool, there is a not a public version of this experience that I can share.
Lobby A
This iteration of the tool was intended to pair with The Threads installation. This one-of-a-kind installation requires some unique content testing, allowing the mapping of colors on the custom 11-foot tubes that fill the IRL.
Key Features include:
Adjustable time of day
Pivoting between fixed POVs in the space
Screen recording
Pulling content from a CMS of Netflix content
